Biography
Dr M.S. Palaniswami, MSc (Ag ), Ph D, ARS, FISRC, FABSc, formerly in Agricultural Research Service, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), as the Principal Scientist & Head, Division of Crop Protection, National Project Co-ordinator (Tuber Crops) and Director (A), the Chief Editor of an international journal ENTOMON since 2014 and brought out 12 volumes. He handled 14 institute, 13 external funded projects and one USDA-USIF project. He has more than 150 publications in national and international journals and conferences. He has authored six books and 30 book chapters. He guided scholars for post-doctoral and doctoral degree and; one student received Jawaharlal Nehru Award for the outstanding research doctoral thesis of 2006. The AICRPTC under his leadership received the prestigious Outstanding AICRP Award 2007 from the ICAR. He received special appreciation certificate, from USDA, Washington for the USIF project. Association for the Advancement of Biodiversity Science awarded him the Distinguished Service Award – 2015 for the innovative research at the frontiers of tuber crops and for occupational potential to shape the future through intellectual and inspiring leadership in agricultural science and technology.
